Hi, I am Sue Hartley and I serve Chesterfield, Derbyshire and further afield. I am a recently qualified celebrant, able to create and perform weddings, renewing of vows, naming services and funerals. I believe that in this diverse world it is really important to be able to create a custom service, a perfect fit with you and only you in mind. I vow to put my heart and soul into creating the perfect service for you, a service that will be FOREVER special and ALWAYS remembered by you, your loved ones, family and friends.
THE PROCESS:
For any ceremony (wedding, funeral etc), I will take the time to really get to know you: your craziness, your quirkiness, your loveliness, your quietness and your seriousness. I will ensure that every bit of you will shine through in your service. I can’t wait to meet you and to start working with you to create your perfect day; be it a celebration of happiness, a celebration of life beginning, or a final goodbye. Together we will make it perfect and unique.
FIRST STEP:
A no-obligation phone discussion, to arrange either a face to face appointment or a virtual, so that we can chat and decide if we match. If you feel we are good then we will discuss a contract and how much your service will cost you. You will than have a few days in which to decide if you want to go forward, agree the contract and we will discuss fees.
I will then send you a list of questions to think about; and a further, longer appointment will be arranged so that you can tell me your story. I will put in the time to find out your dreams, your wishes, your likes and dislikes; and between us we will start to build that dream.
STEP TWO:
I will meet you at a place you choose; your home or wherever you want, to just have a chat. we need to be very clear we are the perfect match. You are under no obligation at this stage to go any further and if you feel I’m not the right person for you I will wish you all the best and no hard feelings will be felt. Deposit amounts are requested at this point.
STEP THREE:
On our initial meeting we will have agreed a price and I will give you a contract to sign. We will then have a good chat where I will ask quite a few questions so that I can have a good idea of what you do or do not want; and who else you want to be involved in the service/speeches etc. I want to get to know all about you so that I can start to create your service. Your script will be completely unique, designed entirely around you. I will only be a phone call away if you need help with anything; for example when writing your vows you may wish to add something in that’s unusual/quirky. Or if you just want a chat, you’re feeling a little nervous, or anything; I will be at the end of the phone.
STEP FOUR:
By now I will have completed a draft copy of your script. I will give you time to read it and make any suggestions/amendments; only when you are completely satisfied and say “we love it” will I give it a final polish and turn it into a presentation booklet for you as a keepsake and to be used on your special day.
In the background I will also be speaking to your venue and getting as involved as you want me to be. I will be speaking to your friends and assisting them with any speeches they may be preparing. I intend your special day to run smoothly and for you to be fully at ease throughout.
STEP FIVE:
We will have a rehearsal and then a high five to celebrate WE ARE READY!!!
Final payments are made at this point.
